Paris Fashion Week, Day 1...

Bonjour, les chats! (hehe) Happy Paris Fashion Week! I'm so thrilled that it's finally here. Yesterday was the first "day" - although there were only a few shows. We'll look at favorites and then I'll throw in a few other nail polish/book photos!

These three collections were all very inspired by street fashion. I like the casual air and the ease of these garments.
Left: Hood by Air (very casual and hip-hop inspired)
Middle: Anthony Vaccarello (deep v-necks, very sexy silhouettes)
Right: Jacquemus (very nautical!)

FINALLY got my first Ciaté polish!! It it a very thick, full coverage glitter. Two coats gave me total opacity. It's called Wrap Star! I love the pink and purple shimmers. I'll be buying more in the future!

I just finished my first mystery novel/Agatha Christie book. It was INCREDIBLE and I would recommend it to any person reading mystery for the first time. Also - I'm currently wearing one of my favorite nail polishes, Wicked from Essie!

A New Reading Endeavor...

Ever since I've been back from Europe, I've been trying my best to get back to reading books. I've joined Goodreads and am trying to read 40 books this year (I'm officially at the halfway point!).

My two good friends and I recently decided to start a book club together. Our first meeting is this weekend and we are going to discuss The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. The book was a pretty quick read! Overall, it wasn't one of my favorite books - at times, it made me very bored actually. However, I'm really happy that I read it and that I can talk about it with friends and hear their opinions. Did you ever read The Sun Also Rises? What did you think?

Our next book is High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, which I have already started. I'm sensing a trend of male insecurities here...

Since I had a lovely week off, I've gotten some reading accomplished! Now that I'm just a part-time student, it's also nice to be able to catch up on some reading I've been wanting to tackle.

I just finished up two Bryan Lee O'Malley books, Lost at Sea and the first installment of the Scott Pilgrim series, Precious Little Life. I also finished up Wish You Were Here, a great book profiling different music scenes in America.

Right now, I'm working on Please Kill Me, an oral history of punk music. I'm also itching to start on The Complete Persepolis, which I borrowed from a friend. Graphic novels are such easy and fun reads - I think they're slowly becoming a new favorite of mine!  Any recommendations for good reads?
